The Career Guidance Center is attached to the Library. The staff is prepared to help students with decisions regarding college, scholarships, and occupations. ROP and Job Placement can be found in the Career Guidance Center. Students who need a job or training for a job can see the personnel in the center and review the many resources posted in that area.

GATE (Gifted and Talented)

The GATE program provides challenging curriculum and instruction to students capable of achieving significantly beyond the level of their peers. It includes the purchase of supplemental materials, conference fees and substitute time for Advanced Placement staff development, supplemental textbooks, specialized software, classroom equipment and supplemental duplication costs. All of these costs are above the base level budget support for advanced curricular offerings qualified as UC approved courses.

Guidance Specialists

The three Guidance Specialists are located in the Administration Office. They provide comprehensive prorgram planning information to students and assist students with educational program planning, scheduling, and class selection and/or changes. Additionally, they monitor student's Academic Recognition Program and graduation status.

Health Academy

The Health Science Careers Academy is a school-within-a-school program that combines instruction with specialized training. The goal is to expose students to the diverse career opportunities available in the heath care industry through guest speakers, field trips, and mentors. The Academy offers a three year program beginning in the sophomore year which provides a unique curriculum of integrated academics and health care applications.
