The Entertainment Unit
provides students with the opportunity to nurture and develop performance skills in a variety of musical settings; teamwork, discipline, and responsibility concepts involved in our activities create confidence and a strong self image.
There are many opportunities for students to raise money for all or some of the fees. Fees can be paid in full or you may make minimum monthly payments.
$75 - $100 Operational Fee*
$60 Transportation
$60 for Spring Indoor Guard and Drum Line
$60 - $100 ASB
*Operational Fee is $75 if paid by 12/21/07 and is $100 if payments are past that date.
During the fall and winter the operational and transportation fees are payable to the WHS Band Boosters, the ASB fee is paid at the WHS ASB finance office. Spring Color Guard/Drum Line fees are payable to the WHS Band Boosters.
Required for participation: A health card must be turned in with insurance information complete or see the WHS ASB Finance Office about school insurance. A physical is required with the the physical form completed by a doctor.
Checks for costs are made payable to WHS Entertainment Unit Boosters.
Other costs may include shoes, other uniform articles, jackets, warm-up clothing, and any additional field trips. |
Globewest Players
The Globewest productions are financed by the Westminster High School Drama Club. The Drama Club meets on alternate Tuesdays in the theater at lunch. Club dues are $10 annually.
The Globewest Players focus on comedies and dramas. They have been presenting major productions since 1995-96. Some of the plays have been Twelve Angry Jurors, You Can't Take It With You, Our Town, and The Odd Couple.
The theater is part of the Westminster High School Fine and Performing Arts Department. It is an intimate black box thrust stage theater. Seating capacity varies between 90 and 175 seats.
